AI for Business

AI that earns its keep.

We help organisations of every size — from small teams to multi-site groups — use AI to cut costs and do more without adding headcount. From your first AI policy to Copilot rollouts, automations and custom assistants that know your business inside out.

Our AI services

Six ways we put AI to work.

AI as a tool, not a buzzword. We don't push off-the-shelf products — we craft solutions around the needs of your business, so you can grow without your costs growing with you. The goal is simple: do more with less effort.

Start anywhere. Most clients begin with a review, then pick the one or two things that pay back fastest. Every recommendation comes with its cost and its payback.

Don't fall behind

AI is already being used — for good and for bad.

Your competitors are using it to work faster and serve customers better. Criminals are using it to write better scams. Understanding both is now part of running a business.

For good

How businesses use AI

  • Quotes, proposals and emails drafted in minutes
  • Meeting notes and actions written for you
  • Invoices and admin handled automatically
  • Customer questions answered day and night
How AI can help your business
For bad

How criminals use AI

  • Phishing emails with perfect spelling and your suppliers' names
  • Cloned voices of directors asking for urgent payments
  • Deepfake video calls and convincing fake invoices
  • Attacks automated at a scale no human gang could manage
How to protect your business

Not just for big business

Everyone can benefit from AI.

AI used to mean data scientists and six-figure budgets. Not any more. The same tools big companies use are available to a two-person business for the price of a phone contract — and the time saved matters far more to a small team.

  • Sole traders: quotes, emails and social posts in minutes
  • Small teams: meeting notes, admin and customer replies handled
  • Growing firms: connected systems and automated reporting
  • Larger organisations: Copilot at scale, with governance and measured ROI

Don't fall behind. Your competitors are already experimenting. The businesses that learn to use AI safely now will be the ones that win the next five years.

The honest bit

Most AI projects fail for boring reasons.

Not because the technology doesn't work — but because the foundations weren't ready.

  • Messy data. AI can only help with information it can find. Files scattered across desktops, USB sticks and personal Dropbox accounts are invisible to it.
  • Oversharing. Tools like Copilot can surface anything a user has access to — including that salary spreadsheet someone shared with "everyone" in 2019.
  • No policy, no training. Staff either avoid AI entirely, or paste customer data into free tools.
  • No measurement. If you don't know how long a task took before, you can't prove AI saved anything.

We fix the foundations first. It's less glamorous, and it's why our AI projects stick.

Badger tip: before buying a single AI licence, check who can see what in your shared drives. It's a ten-minute job that prevents the most common AI data leak.

Real examples

What AI looks like in a small business.

A restaurant group

Supplier invoices arrive by email as PDFs. An automation reads them, extracts the lines and posts them to the accounts system for approval — instead of someone keying them in on a Monday morning.

A building firm

The site manager records a voice note after each visit. AI turns it into a structured quote in the company template, ready to check and send the same afternoon.

An accountancy practice

Copilot drafts client emails from previous correspondence, summarises long HMRC letters and prepares meeting notes — all inside Microsoft 365, with client data staying in the tenant.

A holiday let business

An assistant trained on house guides answers guest questions about Wi‑Fi, parking and check-in at 11pm, and passes anything unusual to the owner.

Illustrative examples of the kind of work we deliver. Your results will depend on your processes and systems.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Where should a small business start with AI?

Start with the problem, not the tool. Write down the repetitive tasks that eat your team's time, then pick one or two to pilot with an approved business AI tool. Our AI Opportunity Review does this for you and ranks the opportunities by value and effort.

Do we need Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or something else?

It depends on where your work lives. If your business runs on Microsoft 365, Copilot is often the natural fit because it works inside Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. Some teams get more from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. We're vendor-neutral and will tell you honestly. See our guide: choosing an AI tool for your team.

Will AI replace my staff?

That's not what we're aiming for. In small businesses, AI is best at removing the admin that stops good people doing their actual jobs — the quoting, chasing, copying and summarising. Most clients use the time saved to serve more customers without hiring.

How do we keep our data safe?

Use business accounts, not free personal ones; clean up who can see which files; switch on MFA; and give everyone a short, clear AI policy. We handle all four as part of any rollout. See AI policy & security.

Can you help businesses outside Monmouthshire?

Yes. AI reviews, training and automation work are delivered remotely across the UK, with on-site workshops available in South Wales and the borders.
